Thanks for visiting. I feel like we’re friends already
My name is Jenna. I’d ask you yours, but you are clearly busy trawling the internet right now. Welcome to my portfolio. This is where I keep my favourite illustration and graphic design work, from whimsical wildlife to quirky custom maps.
I’ve been drawing and making art since I was small. As a freelance artist and designer, I’m pretty good at adapting my style to suit the job at hand. Take a look at my gallery to see more examples of my work. I get a lot of inspiration from children’s books, as well as from nature and wildlife. That’s right friend, I’m a sucker for animals. All the best people are.
Here’s what I can help you with

If you’ve got a commission in mind, get in touch to see how I can help you. Initial consultations are free. I work to a standard hourly or daily rate, depending on the scope of the project.
Not just a pretty picture
In addition to being an illustrator, I’ve also been a professional copywriter for five years, with B2B and B2C experience in print, web and video. So not only can I help you get your message across – I can also make you look good doing it.
Most of my customers are happily married – or about to be. That’s because I love creating beautiful wedding stationery, and custom wedding maps in particular. I’m full of ideas, so if you’re getting married and you’d like your invitations to make an impact, just give me a bell.
How I work
All of my work is created digitally using a very sexy Wacom tablet. This means it’s easy to make changes along the way and prepare designs in a range of sizes and formats for print and web. I use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) for everything, from company logo designs to stick lady comics.
Life as a Stick Lady
Life as a Stick Lady is a regular comic created by me, with new additions every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Follow the everyday adventures of my alter ego Jean Tawson on Facebook and Twitter as she navigates her two-dimensional (yet strangely relatable) life.
Jean will be starring in her own website soon.
One last thing
I do sell things in my shop from time to time – prints, mugs, cards, etc. Take a look and see if anything takes your fancy. Or if you see anything on this site you like the look of but can’t seem to get hold of, just let me know.
You can also visit my blog (more posts on the way) for thoughts, roundups, demonstrations and general self-indulgent nonsense.
